Sorocaba, Brazil: the Solar Wifi Eco Bin® pilot goes live in 2026

Solar Outdoor Media has started its 2026 pilot in Sorocaba, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The first Solar Wifi Eco Bin® units are installed outside Sorocaba City Hall, where Mayor Rodrigo Manga presented them to residents on his official Instagram channel.

Each unit brings together solar power, separated recycling, public device charging and a digital communication screen in one stainless-steel street unit. In Brazil, the platform is known as Ponto Solar.

The Sorocaba pilot follows field activity in Berlin, Toronto and Spain, and marks the start of deployment in Brazil.
